Single Handed, approx. 42 inches. The Original Basket-Hilted Sword, originating from Dalmatia when their troops were fighting for the Venetian Republic and used extensively during the 1500s. This Sword led to the development of most other western Basket-Hilted Weapons, having negated the need for an armoured glove to protect the hand from thrusting during combat.
