Single Handed, approx. 34 inches. Imported into Europe from the East, this Sword became a popular melee weapon, giving rise to a variety of Blade and Hilt patterns. Heavy-Bladed with a flaring rather than tapering blade, this type of Sword was designed for Cutting and Hacking rather than thrusting, although the point remained a useful Martial tool.
